The Intermediate School Killorglin is a unique family – run school that has always been very proud of its place in our community. We have always sought to instill in our students a strong work ethic, a feeling of comradeship, a sense of dedication and conviviality. Our wonderful students, with their vast array of talents – guided by our professional teachers – shape our community daily.
With over one hundred years experience educating young men and women we have a thorough understanding of what teaching is all about, but education is always developing and each of us in the school is always learning. This school makes sure that it constantly keeps informed of reform and change within the education sector. We are dedicated to embracing new thoughts and new processes in our field and implementing them in our school.
Our school has a diverse population with representation from many different nationalities, each of whom contributes in his/her way to the unique atmosphere in the school.
We strive to live up to the values of our Mission Statement and our school crest, Virtus et Veritas (Truth & Courage). We understand the importance of nurturing individual aspiration, whatever that may be, as well as the importance of contributing to our community.
